System Shock Remake – Day One Patch (Preview)

by | Dec 18, 2025

System Shock remake is available now on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2!

We are currently working on a Day One patch for both Nintendo Switch and Switch 2. However, the patch is delayed and expected to be released before the end of December. Here’s a preview of what you can expect from the patch.

PATCH NOTES – PREVIEW:

  • Major performance and stability optimizations for both platforms.
  • Improvements to Joy-Con Mouse and Gyro during gameplay, combat, and interface interactions.
  • Some models and graphical effects (like Saturn and laser effects) are now rendered correctly.
  • Joy-Con Mouse Mode button bindings for Cyberspace are now correctly configured.
  • All Gamepad and Joy-Con Mouse icons in Button Prompts, Menus and Tutorials will properly show the correct button binding.
  • Joy-Con Mouse control is properly supported on the Title Screen and in Pause Menus.
  • Other miscellaneous balancing changes, UX improvements, and modifications to Cyberspace levels.

KNOWN ISSUES:

  • In mid to late game, some hitches which might lead to a crash are known to happen on Switch.
  • Elements of the final encounter with SHODAN are not rendering correctly, causing the game to be difficult to complete.
  • There is an inconsistent rendering issue with Laser Bridges which makes them appear inactive.
  • Clicking on the Media Tab in the MFD when in Joy-Con Mouse Mode breaks some MFD menu interactions. You can switch to Joystick mode and use the bumpers to exit out of the Media menu.
  • The Joy-Con Mouse does not work as expected within the Media Tab.
  • Right Click Context Menu in Inventory is not recognized by Joy-Con Mouse. You can use the D-Pad when it is open to navigate the list.
  • Some textures will appear lower resolution than intended on Switch.

We’re committed to further improving the System Shock remake experience on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2, with plans to address items beyond what’s listed in the “Known Issues” section above in 2026. Thank you!
